What Type of Eggs Are You Eating?

Eggs from pasture-raised, grass-fed hens truly stand out, both in taste and nutrition, compared to the regular eggs you find at most grocery stores.
Taste Difference
Pasture-raised eggs often have vibrant orange yolks and firmer whites. They taste richer and more flavorful with a fresh, buttery quality that’s hard to beat. Conventional store eggs, by contrast, tend to have paler yolks and a blander, sometimes watery taste. This is because chickens on pasture eat a natural diet of grass, bugs, and seeds, while factory-farmed hens eat mostly processed feed.
Nutrient Difference
Pasture-raised eggs are not just tastier...they’re better for you. They have more omega-3 fatty acids, higher levels of vitamins A, D, and E, and stronger antioxidants. These nutrients are vital for your heart, brain, and immune health. Store-bought eggs from caged hens have less of these good nutrients and often a higher ratio of omega-6 to omega-3, which is not healthy!
It’s true that pasture-raised eggs cost a bit more, but if you start swapping out not-so-healthy extras like chips, soda, or sugary snacks, you’ll likely find the extra room in your grocery budget. Investing in better foods means investing in your health. You can make those small changes...
I can hardly stomach eggs from caged hens. If you want eggs that taste amazing and give your body a nutritional boost, choosing pasture-raised is the way to go. You will taste the difference!!
