What is a Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis?
A hair tissue mineral analysis (HTMA) simply stated, is a screening test that measures the mineral content of your hair. However, a hair tissue mineral analysis is much more than a test for minerals. Providing a blueprint of one's biochemistry, a hair tissue mineral analysis can provide pertinent information about your metabolic rate, energy levels, carbohydrate tolerance, stage of stress, immune system and glandular activity. I am an Elite personal trainer, certified nutritionist, certified hormone specialist and a senior fitness specialist. I work one on one with my clients to help them lose weight and get healthy and I have had some amazing testimonies.
One of the things that can block weight loss is when our bodies are not in balance. Fad diets, medications, stress, toxic metals are just a few of the factors that can disrupt the body’s chemistry and even cause harm , depending on the individual’s metabolism.

When I was about 30 years old, I was diagnosed with Graves’s disease, which is hyperthyroidism. I felt like I had had 50 cups of coffee every day. I ended up with a goiter in my neck that was protruding against my carotid artery, also known as a ceratoid bruit. So I had radioactive iodine therapy to shrink the goiter and to kill off the hyper amount of my thyroid. Unfortunately, due to a medical error in dosage, they actually killed off more of my thyroid than they should have.
